-
Whether you’re going to a concert, a movie, or just need a quiet night away, we will help you find someone qualified and caring to pop in and watch the kids for a few hours!
Responsibilities can include:
Light meal prep for the children
Supervising and engaging with age-appropriate activities
Implementing bedtime routines for a late evening as needed
-
A part-time or full-time nanny is someone who has consistent hours per week with a set schedule based on your needs as a family. They will be with your family for a long-term arrangement.
Either of these roles can be considered short-term or long-term positions, depending on the length of the contract
Responsibilities can include:
Supervising and engaging with age-appropriate activities
Preparing meals and snacks for the children and assisting with general daily routines
Taking care of the children’s laundry and tidying up toys
Driving the children to various activities
Regular and open communication with the parents about their children’s needs
-
A seasonal nanny is someone who is going to be with your family for a short while, usually anything under six months. However, the nanny still has set and regular hours for this agreed-upon time frame. This can include having a nanny during your children’s summer vacation, during a maternity or paternity leave, or as temporary help while you search for a full-time nanny.
Responsibilities can include:
Supervising and engaging with age-appropriate activities
Preparing meals and snacks for the children and assisting with general daily routines
Taking care of the children’s laundry and tidying up toys
Driving the children to various activities
Regular and open communication with the parents about their children’s needs
-
A household manager is someone who handles the daily needs of the whole house, rather than focusing on childcare. They may help out with the children at times, but their duties are more related to the daily routines of the whole family.
Responsibilities can include:
Household laundry, dishes, and general housekeeping (this does not include deep cleaning such as washing baseboards or steaming carpets)
Meal prep and grocery shopping for the entire household
Running general errands for all household members
Scheduling and maintaining household systems
Organizing spaces in the home
-
A family assistant blends childcare with light household tasks and support. While they are primarily there to watch the children, they also help the household run smoothly.
Responsibilities can include:
Supervising and engaging with age-appropriate activities
Preparing meals and snacks for the children and assisting with general daily routines
Taking care of the children’s laundry and tidying up toys
Regular and open communication with the parents about their children’s needs
Running occasional household errands
Helping to manage the family schedule and calendar
Why Choose Fort Wayne Nanny Network?
We all know how the other domestic matchmaking websites work.
You make your post, lay out the basics of what you’re looking for, and cross your fingers.
You are left to do the vetting of your candidates: calling their references, scheduling a background check, and diving in with no one to advise you on what questions to ask, or what to look for to ensure a good fit.
That is where we come in!
Why Families Trust the Fort Wayne Nanny Network
From initial inquiry, all the way to a signed contract with your new nanny, FWNN will be with you every step of the way!
No unexpected fees—The price you see is the price you get!
FWNN is run by a nanny—Maia has been in the industry for over five years, and knows the industry standards and best practices. She also knows the importance of a good match, and the peace that comes with total trust in your nanny. Read more about Maia HERE
Background checks are taken care of— We bring on nanny candidates who are looking for work, thoroughly background checked, CPR certified, and at least 18 years old
Verification— All nanny candidates have been reference checked in advance, and everyone is a non-smoker
You will receive a detailed questionnaire that we use to help find the best matches for your family—We will cover everything from allergies in the household, to your philosophies about screen time.
At least two possible matches will be presented— You and your family can set up an interview with each one and choose from there.
A trial period— Your new nanny will work 2-3 days in your home before committing to the contract. If it’s not a good fit, we return to the candidate pool
A 90-day guarantee—If a longer term situation arises that has you needing a change in care, we will work with you to find someone new at a pro-rated fee.
A customized and personable experience with the goal of finding you the best match possible!

Why Nannies Trust the Fort Wayne Nanny Network
Started by a nanny, for nannies!
We’ve all been there— Feeling like we have no choice but to use the big nanny matchmaking websites in order to find a job. We’re expected to cover our own background checks, a monthly subscription, even an optional monthly fee to make us appear as a “premium user” to families.
These websites offer no recourse— You have zero support as you apply for jobs, fight for the benefits you deserve, and find a family that’s the right fit for you.
With FWNN, you are no longer on your own!
We work with families who value all that goes into being a nanny, and are ready to offer you a fair contract and benefits.
We ask for your ideal schedule, what ages you prefer to work with, your starting hourly rate, and more to find a family that matches your values and philosophy in childcare.
Best of all? It is completely free to apply with us! The only cost we ask you to cover is your own CPR/AED training and any early childhood education certificates or courses you may be pursuing. We pay for your background check, and call your references. From there, you’ll get onto our roster right away to begin the search for your new job!

What We ARE
We are a matchmaking service for families and nannies—We ask both sides in-depth questions about preferences, and compare availability and schedules to offer you the best match possible
We are able to vet and screen potential employees in advance— Your interview with your candidates can focus on the important things, rather than general housekeeping questions
We can help you determine what type of care is the best fit for your family—Whether that is a part-time or full-time nanny, a household manager, or a mix of the two. See the detailed breakdowns of each of these roles HERE
Finally, we are here for you! We aren’t here to take the payment, send a candidate, and disappear. We will be with you through every step of the process
What We ARE NOT
We are not a service to find in-home aides for adults, private nurses, or pet care—We have the upmost respect for these professions, but at this time, we are strictly working with families searching for childcare
We are not placing spots for local daycares, or local in-home daycares—This service is for parents who want a nanny to come to their home, and work with their children exclusively. We highly value the local daycares in our area, and as we grow, we would be happy to make recommendations
We do not have the final say on who receives what job offers—We strive to present each family with at least two pre-screened candidates that fit their profiles, and the family has the final decision after an interview and trial
Finally, we are not currently able to provide emergency backup care if something falls through. We require at least 48 hours for a scheduled one-time babysitting service
